Meet our Head Chef

Preechaya Phetprasert is the Head chef at the Coconut Kitchen.
She trained as a chef in Thailand and was taught many different recipes by her mother who was a cookery teacher in a town called Pak Chong, 2 hours north of Bangkok.

 Preechaya then spent 4 years as a Chef de Partie in a top London gastro pub where the menu centred on European and Asian fusion cuisine.

Opening Times

The restaurant closes a few days after new year until mid March. Apart from that, We are open most days from 5.30pm but might be closed on a Tuesday or Wednesday in the off season. Please call 01758 712 250 to check.


To book a table, please call 01758 712 250, if there is no answer please leave a message. If you need to email us then please don’t expect a very quick response as we can be busy, we advise phoning us instead whenever possible.


We apologise for the lack of parking here at the restaurant. If at all possible please get a taxi or lift to the restaurant or, if weather permits, please walk from the village.  If you have to drive please DO NOT park at the boatyard next door, “Land & Sea” as this is private property.  Other parking options are:

  • Double park where you can next to the restaurant and inform us that you have blocked a car in. Some cars will belong to staff anyway.
  • Park up the hill, on the side of the road behind the restaurant (3-5 min walk)
  • Park up the hill to the left from the restaurant in the old Whitehouse Carpark (3-5 min walk). On the right after you pass the 30mph sign on your way in to the village
  • Park at the central carpark in Abersoch village (5-7 min walk)
