250ml glass bottle, servings 2-4
This sauce is a light Thai Style Sweet and Sour stirfry sauce that won a Great Taste Award in 2018. The judges commented of the sauce” Good initial smell of garlic, a good viscosity, strong colour, warmth of chilli not too excessive. Sweetness of pineapple noticeable and not overpowered by the saltiness of the soy. We like the aftertaste to this well balanced and natural product.” And who are we to argue! It makes a tasty dip or marinade too.

300g vegetables chopped (red pepper, courgettes, babycorn, broccoli, sugar snap peas)
2 spring onions (sliced lengthways)
50g cucumber strips
1 tomato (cut into wedges)
fresh coriander to garnish.
Fry garlic & onion over medium heat. Add vegetables & stir fry for 2-3 minutes. Stir in pineapple with juice, tomato wedges & 250ml of CK Thai Sweet & Sour Sauce. Blend 1 tbsp cornflour with water, add & fry for 1 more minute. Toss in the cucumber & spring onion, heat through. Serve with steamed rice or noodles & garnish with coriander.
Tip: Season some diced silken firm tofu cubes, dust with cornflour & deep fry until crispy. Reduce the vegetables and substitute with some of the crispy tofu. Also great with strips of chicken, pork, beef or prawns.
